Bridge Publishing Group LLC is an independent, family-owned publisher and distributor of non-fiction law and law-related works. Our mission is simple yet critical: to assist authors, publishers, and libraries with the publication, promotion, and preservation of important research content in multiple formats to the global academic community.
In the 1990s legal publishing in the United States witnessed an unprecedented number of mergers and acquisitions, leaving only a few independent publishers to disseminate the vast amount of in-depth legal scholarship to the world. As a result, most legal publishers have become highly-selective in the works they publish (in order to maximize revenue); thereby foregoing much of the great scholarship being produced by researchers and organizations worldwide. It is the goal of Bridge Publishing Group LLC to provide an outlet for "niche" titles to be published and promoted; ones that might otherwise be considered too narrow for the large legal publishing houses to consider within their current business models.
Also, in this day and age when many publishers are simply becoming global aggregators of tens of millions of pages of content (thus diluting exposure for so many fine publications!) it is our goal to help promote these unique titles to legal researchers around the world. Prior to becoming a founding member of Bridge Publishing Group LLC, Brian worked in the marketing department for Highlights for Children, one of the most-respected and widely-read educational periodicals in the United States. Before joining Highlights he served as Director of Marketing and Publications for William S. Hein & Co., Inc. where he developed extensive relationships with authors, editors, publishers, librarians, and distribution agents worldwide. In his eleven year tenure at William S. Hein & Co., Inc. the company greatly expanded its' product offerings and developed one of today's best (and multi-award winning) online legal research products, HeinOnline ( http:heinonline.org ). Brian's vision for Bridge Publishing Group LLC is to develop long lasting relationships with authors, publishers, and libraries around the world to help them disseminate and enhance content offerings to the global legal research community.
